Mr Blackadder, I Have a Cunning Plan!
After a break of three years we are delighted to announce that Kevin Donaldson (AKA Baldrick) has rejoined the YBS Band on soprano cornet. Kevin was one of the original members of the band when Yorkshire Building Society began their sponsorship in the mid 1990s and he was a key figure in the band's early success. He brings a vast amount of playing experience to the cornet section, having played with many of the country's top bands on the concert and contest stage over the past 30 years.

The band would also like to take this opportunity to thank Gary Bates for the work he has done with the band over the last few months and wish him all the best for the future.
The Proms are in Yorkshire this summer
Do you enjoy all the music and pomp of the Last Night of the Proms? Do you want all of this without having to travel to London?
If you do then the YBS Band have the perfect solution for you. We or performing a 'Last Night of the Proms Spectacular' at Batley Town Hall on Saturday, 14th June 2008. The band will be playing all your favourite Proms faire so breakout you Union Flags and join us on the night to sing along to the nation's patriotic classics.
Tickets cost £10 (£8 for concessions) and are available from two sources.
